How to split a PDF

Three ways to split
Page ranges is for documents with a known structure: chapters, invoices bundled in one scan, or the signed pages of a contract. Write the ranges you want and each becomes its own file.
Every N pages cuts at a fixed interval. It suits scans of double-sided forms (every 2 pages) or batches of identical documents printed into one PDF.
Every page makes one PDF per page, which is useful before re-ordering pages by hand or sending them to different people.

Questions
How do I write page ranges?
Separate ranges with commas: 1-3, 4-10, 11- makes three files. A range ending in a dash runs to the last page, and a single number like 7 makes a one-page file. Each range becomes its own PDF.
Can the ranges overlap or skip pages?
Yes. Every range is copied independently, so 1-5, 3-8 is allowed, and pages you don't list are simply left out.
Is the split lossless?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, so text, fonts and images keep their original quality. Each part may be slightly larger than its share of the original because shared fonts and images are copied into every part that uses them.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The PDF is read and split in your browser and the parts are created on your device.
How are the files named?
Each part is named after your file and its pages, for example report-pages-1-3.pdf. With more than one part you can download them one by one or as a single ZIP.
