- Click the pages you want, or type them as ranges such as
1-3, 8. - Press Extract pages and download the new PDF.
Pulling pages out of a PDF
Extracting copies the pages you choose into a fresh PDF and leaves everything else behind. It is the quickest way to send someone one section of a long report, keep only the signed pages of a contract, or drop the cover and appendix before printing.
The thumbnails are drawn on your device as you scroll, so even long documents open quickly. Typing ranges is faster for big selections; clicking is easier for a few scattered pages. Both stay in sync.
Tips
- To cut a document into several parts in one go, use Split PDF.
- To keep most pages and drop a few, Remove pages is quicker.
Questions
What order are the extracted pages in?
If you click thumbnails, pages keep their original order. If you type ranges, the new PDF follows the order you typed, so 5, 1-3 puts page 5 first.
Can I save each page as its own file?
Yes. Tick One file per page and you get a separate PDF for every selected page, downloadable one by one or as a ZIP.
Does the original PDF change?
No. Your original file is only read. The extracted pages are written to a new file that you download.
Is the quality the same?
Yes. Pages are copied as they are, not re-rendered, so text stays selectable and images aren't recompressed.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The thumbnails and the new PDF are both made in your browser.
