SVG to PNG
Render an SVG drawing, icon or logo as a crisp PNG at the size you need.

An .svg file up to 10 MB. Or drag it anywhere on this page.

The height follows the SVG's proportions.
One SVG at a time, up to 10 MB. Output up to about 100 megapixels and 32,767 pixels on a side.
How to convert SVG to PNG
- Choose an .svg file, or drag it onto the page. A preview appears with the size the SVG asks for.
- Pick a scale (1x, 2x, 4x) or type an exact width, and choose a transparent or solid background.
- Press Convert to PNG, then download the image.
Turning vector graphics into pixels
An SVG describes shapes with coordinates, so it can be drawn at any size without losing sharpness. Many places still want a bitmap, though: app stores, social profiles, slide decks, email signatures and older design tools. Converting to PNG fixes the drawing at one pixel size, so choose the largest size you will need; you can always shrink a PNG later, but enlarging it blurs.
Your browser's own SVG renderer does the drawing on a canvas, at the output size, and the canvas is saved as PNG with full transparency. The SVG is treated strictly as an image: scripts inside it never run and nothing it links to is downloaded.
Tips
- For screens with high pixel density, export at 2x or 3x the size the image is shown at.
- Making a site icon? Favicon generator builds every size from one image.
- Need a JPG or WebP instead? Convert the PNG with Convert image.
Questions
Will the PNG be sharp at a large size?
Yes. The SVG is drawn directly at the output size, not drawn small and enlarged, so curves and text are rendered crisply at 2x, 4x or any width you type.
What size is the PNG at 1x?
The size the SVG declares in its width and height attributes, converted to pixels (centimetres, millimetres, inches and points are converted at 96 pixels per inch). If those are missing, the viewBox is used. If neither is there, the browser's default of 300 by 150 is used and the tool tells you.
Does it keep transparency?
Yes, by default. Untick Transparent background and choose a colour if you need a solid background, for example for an app icon or a document.
Why do fonts or embedded pictures look different?
The SVG is drawn as a self-contained image, the same way a web page shows an SVG in an img tag. Web fonts and pictures it links to on other sites are not fetched, so text falls back to fonts on your device and linked pictures are left out. Pictures embedded inside the SVG file itself are drawn.
Is it safe to open an SVG from someone else?
Yes, here. SVG files can contain scripts, but the file is loaded as a picture, where browsers never run scripts or follow links, and it is never added to the page. Nothing is uploaded.
