What wallet drain checks cost over x402
Updated 2026-10-13
Snapshot 2026-10-13
A drain is when tokens leave a wallet without the wallet sending them: a spender uses an allowance, someone holds a permit the wallet signed, or code the wallet delegates to moves them. An agent can check a wallet for one, follow the money out of it, or sort its outgoing transfers by the call over x402. We index the x402 Bazaar and PayAI daily, so here is what those listings charge as of 2026-10-13. The short version: we found 8 distinct priced wallet drain and outflow check offers on 6 hosts, the median is USD 0.02 per call, the lowest is USD 0.003 and the highest USD 0.1. Tanod charges USD 0.002 per call, so 0 listings are lower, 0 are the same and 8 are higher. These are listed prices, matched by keyword and reviewed by name and description; we have not tested the endpoints, and they check different things.

Prices are per call as listed, in USD, not a measure of accuracy. The listings differ in what they do. Three are stateful monitors that you call again and again with a baseline or cursor and that report balance or transfer changes; three read one agent identity only (an ERC-8004 agent on Base, and an agent never seen paying is refused); one is for Solana and follows funds hop by hop; and one reads what a wallet exposes to a drain, not what has left it. None of the eight is described as sorting a wallet's transfers out by who sent the transaction. Three of the 8 offers are routes of one host, and the five other hosts list one route each.
Which wallet drain check listings agents actually pay
The Bazaar also reports, per listing, how many distinct wallets paid it and how many paid calls it served in the last 30 days. On 2026-10-13 all 8 listings here carried those counts, and every one had at least one paying wallet. The most-paid listing had 4 paying wallets and 6 paid calls; the one with the most paid calls served 50 (3 wallets), a monitor meant to be polled about every minute. Listed prices in the table run from USD 0.003 to 0.1. Our own drain check listing is not in the index yet, so it has no count here.
| Listing | Listing says | Price (USD) | Paying wallets, 30 days | Paid calls, 30 days |
|---|---|---|---|---|
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/statement | outflow statements for one agent | 0.01 | 4 | 6 |
x402-gateway-production-1f21.up.railway.app/agent/wallet-monitor | recurring balance and transfer monitor | 0.005 | 3 | 50 |
agentsvc.io/api/v1/proxy/wallet-watch | balance deltas and outgoing transaction count since a cursor | 0.003 | 2 | 5 |
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/bundle | operator pack including a drain check | 0.1 | 2 | 2 |
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/drain | published drain rule applied to an agent's payments | 0.02 | 2 | 2 |
Counts are as Coinbase's Bazaar reports them, not verified by us; a seller's own test wallets are included. Ranked by paying wallets, then paid calls; the table shows the five listings with 2 or more paying wallets. Every listing's counts are in the CC BY 4.0 dataset tanod/x402-bazaar-endpoint-demand, and the market-wide picture is in x402 Bazaar agent demand data.
8 example offers
Every offer after review, ordered by price. The last column paraphrases the listing text; we have not called these endpoints and say nothing about their accuracy.
| Host and path | Listed price (USD) | What the listing says |
|---|---|---|
agentsvc.io/api/v1/proxy/wallet-watch | 0.003 | wallet monitor: the first call saves a baseline and a cursor, later calls return what changed (native and token balance deltas, USDC always, and the number of outgoing transactions); seven EVM chains |
x402-gateway-production-1f21.up.railway.app/agent/wallet-monitor | 0.005 | recurring wallet monitor: balances and new USDC or ERC-20 transfers since the previous cursor; the listing says it is designed to be called about every 60 seconds |
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/statement | 0.01 | the last 24 three-hour statements of one ERC-8004 agent on Base: outflow split into spend and routing hops, what left its control, income and open flags, hash-chained with a merkle proof; an agent never seen paying is a 404 |
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/drain | 0.02 | applies a published rule (5 times, USD 250, never paid before) to one ERC-8004 agent's payments and says whether it tripped; an agent never seen paying is a 404 |
mini-tollbooth.onrender.com/wallet-watch | 0.02 | stateful wallet monitor: set a baseline, pass it back later and get a plain-words diff of approvals, balances and exposure; verdict baseline, no-changes or changed |
api.solsentry.app/x402/v1/drain-trace/:solana_address | 0.05 | Solana: follows the money out of a wallet hop by hop until it reaches an exchange deposit, a bridge, a swap venue or the end of the trail, with each hop's labelled destination |
402.com.tr/api/x402/wallet-drain-watch | 0.06 | Base: one go, review or stop across drain vectors: EIP-7702 delegation, spend permissions and ERC-20 approvals to unknown spenders; reads what a wallet exposes, not what has left it |
agenticfinancegraph.com/check/bundle | 0.1 | operator pack for one ERC-8004 agent on Base: liveness, payment graph, drain and incidents in one call |

Method
- Source: Tanod's agent index of the x402 Bazaar and PayAI, queried 2026-10-13 (newest listing seen 2026-10-13T04:53:34Z), listings last seen in the 3 days up to the snapshot. Tanod's own routes (1 matching URL) and hosts the index flags as bulk or templated listing farms (at least 100 listings and a score of 0.5 or more) are not used; the farm rule removed 2 matching URLs, a phishing site check and a drainer check with no description. No Circle-sourced row matched.
- Match: listings with a price above zero whose name, URL or description mentions drain, compromised wallet, follow the money, outflow, wallet monitor or sweeper. After collapsing duplicates (3 URLs that repeat another path's host, description and price), that returned 64 distinct URLs, which were reviewed one by one by name and description. Only endpoints that detect a drained or compromised wallet, follow money out of a wallet, or classify or monitor a wallet's outgoing transfers or balance changes were kept: 8 offers on 6 hosts.
- Dropped, 56 URLs, counts only: 13 scam, phishing, sanctions and address or counterparty screens; 11 market flow, exchange reserve and yield data that use outflow in the market sense; 8 approval, allowance, delegation and permit exposure checks that look at what a wallet has granted, not at a drain (the approval audits are priced on a separate page); 7 pre-signature transaction and signature checks; 7 token, pool and launch rug scans; 6 unrelated matches (soil, flood, property, medical and treasury tools); 4 wallet reports and records that do not classify outflows, including a drained-wallet incident guide. A second pass over stolen, hack, exploit, unauthorized, outgoing and balance-fell wording found 198 further distinct URLs (address risk screens, transaction history lists, hack databases, medical scores); none follows funds out of a wallet or classifies its outgoing transfers, so none is counted. A looser rule would find more, and a stricter one fewer.
- Deduplicated by URL, and a second path for one operation (same host, description and price) counted once. Where one host lists several routes, each is an offer and the host counts once. Listed price is the lowest per URL; some endpoints may charge differently by input. Percentiles are linear interpolation between ranks. Median of 8 prices is the mean of the 4th and 5th values, both 0.02.
Where Tanod fits
POST /v1/chain/drain-check checks a wallet for a drain. Send the chain (base or ethereum) and the wallet; it reads the wallet's USDC and USDT transfers (or up to 5 tokens) over the latest 2,000 blocks and sorts every transfer out as sent (the wallet sent the transaction), authorized (an EIP-3009 signature, as x402 payments use), wallet code, pulled (someone else's transaction used an allowance, a permit or a contract) or unknown, with the puller and whether it still holds a live allowance. It also gives the wallet's nonce before and after the window, balances and flows, and a verdict of drained, review or clean with reasons and evidence. It costs USD 0.002 per call, paid in USDC on Base, Polygon, Solana, BNB Chain or Arbitrum with x402. The MCP tool is check_wallet_drain at https://tanod.dev/mcp/security. Details are in the wallet drain check guide. It is read-only (nothing is signed or sent), a heuristic and not proof of who moved the tokens.
When a priced listing above is the better choice
- You want to be alerted when a drain happens, not asked after it: a continuous monitor that is polled every minute or so, with a baseline or cursor, sees a balance move when it moves. Tanod reads only the latest 2,000 blocks, about 67 minutes of Base history (about 6.7 hours on Ethereum), so a drain older than that is not seen unless you run the check on a schedule.
- You need to follow the money after it leaves: Tanod classifies each transfer out and names the puller, but it does not trace the funds onward. A listing that walks outflows hop by hop to an exchange, a bridge or a swap venue does that, if it performs as described, and it is the only listing here for Solana; Tanod reads Base and Ethereum.
- You want a Solana wallet checked at all: Tanod does not cover Solana wallets.
- You hold an ERC-8004 agent identity and want its payment record: listings that read a published agent statement or rule give a view Tanod does not.
- You want the lowest listed price: none of the 8 listings is below Tanod's USD 0.002; the lowest is USD 0.003, a monitor.
When Tanod fits
- You want to know who moved the tokens: each transfer out is classed as sent, authorized, wallet code, pulled or unknown, so an agent paying for API calls with EIP-3009 is not mistaken for a pull.
- You want the nonce check: a balance that fell while the nonce did not move means someone else moved the tokens, and the answer says so, with a verdict of drained, review or clean an agent can act on.
- You want no charge when the call cannot work: a bad address, an unknown token or another chain is a 422, and a failed read is a 502, both before any payment.
- You want the next step on the same host: if the verdict is drained, the token approval audit returns the revoke transaction for the puller's allowance, paid the same way.
- You want a free start: 10 chain reads per IP per UTC day, a pool shared by every chainpeek read, with the header
X-Tanod-Free: 1(automatic over MCP).
curl -s -X POST https://tanod.dev/v1/chain/drain-check \
-H 'content-type: application/json' -H 'X-Tanod-Free: 1' \
-d '{"chain": "base", "wallet": "0x5A0b54D5dc17e0AadC383d2db43B0a0D3E029c4c"}'Price and free allowance
/v1/chain/drain-check USD 0.002 per call, with 10 free chain reads per IP per UTC day (a pool shared by every chainpeek read). Chains: base, ethereum. Lookback: the latest 2,000 blocks of USDC and USDT transfers (or up to 5 tokens), at most 20 transactions looked up. Paid in USDC on Base, Polygon, Solana, BNB Chain or Arbitrum with x402. MCP tool: check_wallet_drain at https://tanod.dev/mcp/security.
Use it from Claude without writing code: in claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add https://tanod.dev/mcp/security?via=wallet-drain-check-api-prices as a custom connector (steps), then ask in plain words, for example "Check whether this wallet address shows signs of being drained." The free daily allowance is applied automatically over MCP. Beyond it a call needs an x402 payment, which these clients can make.
