"netIncome": {"value": 120067000000, ...}, "assets": {...}, "sharesOutstanding": {...}}}What the numbers are
The profile comes from EDGAR's submissions file: name, CIK, tickers, exchanges, SIC code and description, state of incorporation and fiscal year end. Facts come from the company's XBRL filings: revenue and net income for a full fiscal year (350 to 380 days) from the latest 10-K, 20-F or 40-F, total assets, and shares outstanding (left empty when the only figure is more than 400 days older than the annual numbers). Each fact carries its concept, period, form and filing date so you can check it.
Limits and caveats
US SEC registrants only. An unknown ticker or CIK is a 404 and is not charged. Data is cached for up to an hour (the ticker list for a day), so a filing made minutes ago may not show yet. This is reported data, not investment advice. EDGAR data is public; Tanod calls it with a declared contact and stays within SEC's request limits.
