Prices are per call as listed, in USD, not a measure of list freshness or accuracy. Listings differ in which lists they check (OFAC SDN only, or also UN, EU, UK or Japan lists), whether they cover one address or a batch, and what they return (a match flag, a PASS/WARN/BLOCK verdict, or a signed receipt). Three listings take a batch in one call (up to 20, 25 and 50 addresses), so a per-call price is not always a per-address price.

Method
- Source: Tanod's agent index of the x402 Bazaar, queried 2026-10-10 (newest listing seen 2026-10-09T04:31:37Z). Internal-only sources, Circle-sourced rows and Tanod's own routes are not used.
- Match: listings with a price above zero whose name, URL or description mentions sanctions, OFAC or the SDN list. That returned 254 distinct URLs, which were reviewed one by one by name and description. Only endpoints whose main job is to screen a crypto address against sanctions lists were kept.
- Excluded: screening by person, company or vessel name; KYB and company due-diligence packs; general wallet risk scores, trust scores and pre-payment checks in which sanctions are one signal among many; sanctions news, change feeds and freshness heartbeats; transaction-exposure and multi-hop tracing routes; and unrelated listings that only mention OFAC in passing. A looser rule would find more.
- Deduplicated by URL; one route listed with a sample address in its path is counted once. Where one host lists two routes, both count as offers and the host counts once. Listed price is the first payment requirement; some endpoints may charge differently by input. Median of 41 prices is the 21st value (0.005).
Where Tanod fits
POST /v1/sanctions screens one crypto address against the US OFAC SDN digital-currency address list and returns whether it matched, the matching SDN entries (name, type, programs, currency) and the list date. It costs USD 0.002 per call. POST /v1/sanctions/batch screens 1 to 1,000 addresses in one call at USD 0.0005 per address, with a minimum of USD 0.002 per call (so USD 0.5 for 1,000). Both are paid in USDC on Base or Polygon with x402. EVM and bech32 addresses match case-insensitively; base58 BTC, TRX and other formats must match exactly as listed. The MCP tools are check_sanctions and check_sanctions_batch at https://tanod.dev/mcp. Details are in the single-address guide and the batch guide. Tanod checks the OFAC SDN list only; it is a screening aid, not a clearance, not legal advice and not a full compliance check.
When a priced listing above is the better choice
- You want the lowest listed price per single address: three listings are USD 0.001 per call, against Tanod's USD 0.002, though we have not tested them.
- You need more than OFAC: some listings say they also check UN, EU, UK or Japan lists. Tanod checks the OFAC SDN list only.
- You screen names rather than addresses: many listings screen people and companies by name (excluded from the numbers above). Tanod does not.
- You screen small batches: Tanod's batch is USD 0.0005 per address with a USD 0.002 minimum, so 20 addresses cost USD 0.01, 25 cost USD 0.0125 and 50 cost USD 0.025. Listings that take 20 or 50 addresses for USD 0.005 are lower at those sizes, if they perform as described.
When Tanod fits
- You screen large batches: one call takes up to 1,000 addresses, against 20, 25 or 50 in the batch listings we found.
- You want one host for address screening plus ENS, balances, tokens, transactions and phishing URL checks, paid the same way.
- You want a free start on single addresses: 10 free chain reads per IP per UTC day, a pool shared by every chainpeek read, with the header
X-Tanod-Free: 1. Batches are never free.
curl -s -X POST https://tanod.dev/v1/sanctions \

/v1/sanctions USD 0.002 per address, with 10 free chain reads per IP per UTC day (a pool shared by every chainpeek read). /v1/sanctions/batch USD 0.0005 per address, at least USD 0.002 per call, up to 1,000 addresses, never free. Paid in USDC on Base or Polygon with x402. MCP tools: check_sanctions and check_sanctions_batch at https://tanod.dev/mcp.
