Chainlink price feed API: read ETH/USD and other prices without a node
POST a chain and a pair to /v1/chain/price. It returns the latest answer of the Chainlink on-chain feed as an exact decimal string, with round id, update time, age in seconds and a stale flag measured against the feed's heartbeat.
Request
chain is ethereum or base. pair is one of ETH/USD, BTC/USD, USDC/USD, USDT/USD, DAI/USD, LINK/USD, cbETH/ETH (both chains), stETH/USD (Ethereum only) or cbETH/USD (Base only).

}Limits and caveats
Not a DEX spot price. This is the oracle's last reported answer. Feeds update on a deviation threshold or a heartbeat, so the value can lag the market; check age_seconds and stale.
Fixed pair list. Only the pairs above are available. Other pairs are rejected.
If you read feeds in a contract, add your own staleness and bounds checks; see the guide on unchecked Chainlink prices.
