Web pages to Markdown batch API: read up to 5 URLs in one call

POST https://tanod.dev/v1/render/batch reads up to 5 public web pages to Markdown in one call and returns one entry per URL, in the order you sent them. It costs USD 0.002 per URL (USD 0.002 for one, USD 0.01 for five), paid in USDC on Base or Polygon through x402, and the price is known before you pay because it comes from the number of URLs in the request. There is no free tier on the batch; a single read with POST /v1/render has 5 free per IP per UTC day. It is also the MCP tool render_pages_batch at https://tanod.dev/mcp, next to render_page.

What you send

urls is a list of 1 to 5 public http or https URLs, each at most 2048 characters. Six or more, an empty list or a value that is not a string is a 422 and is not charged.

curl -s -X POST https://tanod.dev/v1/render/batch \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"urls": ["https://example.com/", "https://www.iana.org/help/example-domains"]}'

What you get

results has one entry per URL with its index and url, plus either markdown with a truncated flag (and title, and final_url when the page redirected) or an error with a code and a message. count is the number of URLs, read the number that loaded and failed the rest.

How it works

Each URL is read with the same static fetch as POST /v1/render: public http and https addresses only, private and internal addresses refused, redirects checked, a per-host limit, and size and time caps applied. The pages are fetched at the same time under one 20 second bound, and a page that has not loaded by then gets a timeout error.
