What public-holiday and business-day lookups cost over x402
Snapshot 2026-10-10
An agent can buy a public-holiday list or a business-day count by the call over x402: send a country and a year, or two dates, and get back holidays or a day count. We index the x402 Bazaar daily, so here is what those listings charge on 2026-10-10. The short version: we found 109 distinct priced public-holiday or business-day offers on 58 hosts, the median is USD 0.007 per call, the lowest is USD 0.0005 and the highest USD 0.050. Tanod charges USD 0.001 per call for public holidays and USD 0.001 per call for business-day counting. These are listed prices, matched by keyword and reviewed by name; we have not tested the endpoints.

Prices are per call as listed, in USD, not a measure of accuracy or freshness. Listings differ in scope: many cover one country (Japan, Germany, Spain, the US), some cover 100 to 250 countries, and some count weekdays only without holidays. One host, intel.rallylive.ca, lists 21 of the 109 URLs, one per country, so the histogram leans toward its USD 0.01 price. A few listings take up to 25 date calculations in one call, so a per-call price is not always a per-calculation price.

Method
- Source: Tanod's agent index of the x402 Bazaar, queried 2026-10-10 (newest listing seen 2026-10-09T04:31:37Z). Internal-only sources and Tanod's own routes are not used.
- Match: listings with a price above zero whose name or URL mentions holiday, business day, working day, workday or networkdays. That returned 232 rows on 198 distinct URLs, which were reviewed by name.
- Excluded: a country-facts endpoint on one host whose listings are about other topics (tax, plugs, etiquette) and only mention holidays in a shared description, settlement-date calculators, market-hours clocks, treasury yield and rate data, calendar-file converters, Japanese gotobi and traditional-calendar pages, festival calendars, weekend-only checks, time-zone and scheduling tools, and unrelated hits (a subscription plan, an email SPF check). A looser rule would find more.
- Deduplicated by URL. Listed price is the first payment requirement; some endpoints may charge differently by input. Median of 109 prices is the 55th value (0.007).
Where Tanod fits
POST /v1/holidays takes a country (ISO 3166-1 alpha-2), a year from 1990 to 2100 and optionally a subdivision and language, and returns the holidays as date, weekday and name, for 250 countries. POST /v1/date/business-days counts business days between two dates or adds N working days to a date, with configurable weekends and, given a country and optional subdivision, skips that country's public holidays. Both cost USD 0.001 per call, paid in USDC on Base or Polygon with x402. The holiday data is computed from the python-holidays rules, not an official calendar: lunar, religious and one-off holidays can be estimates or missing for some years, so confirm with an official source for legal or payroll use. MCP tools are get_public_holidays and count_or_add_business_days at https://tanod.dev/mcp. Details are in the public holidays API guide and the business days API guide.
When a priced listing above is the better choice
- You want the lowest listed price: one listing is USD 0.0005 per call, against Tanod's USD 0.001, though we have not tested it.
- You need one country's official dataset or local rules: some listings cover a single country, such as Japan, Brazil or Germany, with its own calendar and bank-day conventions.
- You need several date calculations in one call: a listing says it takes up to 25. Tanod takes one calculation per call.
When Tanod fits
- You need holiday lists and business-day arithmetic from one host, with the same holiday data behind both.
- You want coverage across 250 countries with optional subdivisions and a choice of weekend days.
- You want a free start: 10 free utilpeek calls per IP per UTC day, a pool shared by every utilpeek route, with the header
X-Tanod-Free: 1.
curl -s -X POST https://tanod.dev/v1/holidays \
-H 'content-type: application/json' -H 'X-Tanod-Free: 1' \

/v1/holidays and /v1/date/business-days USD 0.001 per call each, 10 free utilpeek calls per IP per UTC day (one pool shared by every utilpeek route). Paid in USDC on Base or Polygon with x402. MCP tools: get_public_holidays and count_or_add_business_days at https://tanod.dev/mcp.
