Perp funding rate APIs for agents: price per call

Snapshot 2026-10-07

A perpetual-futures funding rate is the periodic payment between long and short holders that pulls the perp price toward spot. Trading agents read it to judge crowded leverage, to price the cost of carry, and to find cross-venue funding spreads to arbitrage. On the x402 marketplace these feeds are sold per call, and we index the listings. After a hand check that drops company and grant "funding" listings, token funding-source graphs, pure sentiment and volatility indices, liquidation feeds, and multi-metric perp radars where the funding rate is only one field among many, 77 genuine funding-rate offers remain on 2026-10-07, across 42 hosts. The median listed offer costs USD 0.01 per call and the middle half sit between USD 0.005 and USD 0.02. Tanod's /v1/defi/funding lists at USD 0.002 and its cross-venue /v1/defi/funding-carry at USD 0.005.

Median listed x402 price for a perpetual funding-rate feed: USD 0.01 per call across 77 offers on 42 hosts (snapshot 2026-10-07); the middle half run USD 0.005 to USD 0.02. Tanod's /v1/defi/funding (Hyperliquid funding, with up to 7 days of hourly history) lists at USD 0.002, below the first quartile; its two-venue /v1/defi/funding-spread at USD 0.003 and its five-venue /v1/defi/funding-carry ranking at USD 0.005 both sit below the median.

Prices are per call as listed, in USD; the ten buckets sum to 77. The crowd sits at USD 0.005 to USD 0.02, with clusters exactly at USD 0.01 and USD 0.02. The cheapest tier (USD 0.001 to USD 0.002) is mostly single-venue or Hyperliquid-only feeds; the USD 0.05 to USD 0.1 top end is cross-venue history and arbitrage scans that read several exchanges per call.

Which funding-rate listings agents actually pay

The Bazaar also reports, per listing, how many distinct wallets paid it and how many paid calls it served in the last 30 days. Across the 77 offers that is 158 paying-wallet counts and 1,429 paid calls over the window, though a single agent402.tools listing accounts for 1,157 of those calls (from 5 wallets), so call counts concentrate heavily on one caller. Tanod's routes are not yet in this Bazaar demand feed.

Tanod's funding routes

Each route is paid per call in USDC on Base, Polygon or Solana with x402. There is no account and no key; an unpaid call returns a 402 with the payment requirements. All four share one free pool of 10 chain reads per IP per UTC day (send the header X-Tanod-Free: 1). Prices are from Tanod's configuration on 2026-10-10.
