Agent-ready files generator API: robots lines, API catalog, MCP server card and skills index for a site

Updated 2026-10-16

The files a site is missing, ready to publish

Checkers tell a site what an AI agent cannot find; POST https://tanod.dev/v1/web/agent-readiness/fix hands over the files. It runs the agent readiness check on a public site and returns the bodies to publish for what is missing: robots.txt lines, an llms.txt skeleton, an API catalog, an MCP server card and an agent skills index. Nothing is published for you.
curl -s -X POST https://tanod.dev/v1/web/agent-readiness/fix \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"url": "https://example.com", "openapi_url": "https://example.com/openapi.json", "mcp_endpoint": "https://example.com/mcp", "skills": [{"name": "search-docs", "description": "Search the Example docs. Use when a user asks how to do something with Example."}]}'

Only url is required. openapi_url, mcp_endpoint and skills supply facts the check cannot find; content_signal sets the robots.txt policy (default ai-train=no, search=yes, ai-input=yes).

What comes back

Limits

Same guarded check as the readiness route: https only, port 443, public addresses only, about 40 requests, 25 s and 8 MB. Titles and descriptions come from your home page and are cleaned; review each file before publishing. The Content-Signal default is a policy choice, and a blocked AI agent may be intended. The skills index follows the Agent Skills discovery format; recompute a digest if you edit a SKILL.md. A private or malformed address is a 422 before payment.

Price and free allowance

USD 0.01 per call, paid in USDC through x402. There is no free tier: each call runs the readiness check. The live 402 says: "no free fix-file generation (each call runs the readiness check, about 40 fetches of the site) per IP per UTC day".

It is also the MCP tool generate_agent_ready_files. In claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add https://tanod.dev/mcp/agents?via=agent-ready-files-generator-api as a custom connector (steps), then ask, for example, "Generate the agent-ready files for example.com."
