Agent readiness of the x402 sellers wallets pay: 117 sites scored (2026-10-15)
Data from 2026-10-15
Of 117 x402 seller sites that wallets actually pay, the median agent-readiness score is 62 of 100 (grades: A 29, B 14, C 31, D 43, F 0). 27 of them show an agent no payment signal at their own domain, so the only way to find what they sell is a directory listing. 24 declare an MCP endpoint.
Who is in it
Every host in the Coinbase x402 Bazaar snapshot of 2026-10-15 with at least one route paid by 10 or more wallets in the last 30 days, as the Bazaar reports it: 117 hosts. 0 did not answer (for example a host name that no longer resolves) and are counted apart. Each site was scored once with our agent readiness check, from our servers, three sites at a time, at most 60 requests per site. Nothing was paid.

Reading it
These sites are built to be called rather than read. Most publish an API description but skip the files that help an agent find and understand a site before its first call. Per-check counts do not depend on any weighting; the overall score does (ours weights llms.txt 25, robots 20, sitemap and schema.org 15 each, OpenAPI, /.well-known and access 10 each, MCP and payments 5 each). If you sell over x402, a /.well-known/x402 file listing your resources is the cheapest fix for the payment signal: one static JSON file.
